The purpose of internship

Internship is a crucial practical learning section. Firstly, learning practical knowledge by directly participating in the operation process of an enterprise, further, deepen students’ understanding of theoretical knowledge, and helping students combine theory with practical knowledge. Secondly, it can broaden students’ horizons of knowledge, improve students’ professional quality and ethics. Thirdly, it can also improve students' practical working ability and gain students valuable experience for further study and career development.

The Food Science and Technology Programme focuses on cultivating students' practical skills, and strongly encourages students to use their vacation to participate in internship activities. Through the internship, students will learn new skills, cultivate personal interests, and explore and discover professional fields of interest. The internship aims to let students apply the theoretical knowledge and practical skills on experiment to workplace. Every summer/winter vacation, the programme establishes partnerships with some enterprises and organizations to offer students internship opportunities. Students are also encouraged to apply for themselves.
