Delegates from Georgetown University revisited UIC on 23 October to discuss further potential cooperation based on the Memorandum of Understanding they inked last November.

Georgetown University, a 225-year-old private research university in Washington DC and one of the world’s leading academic and research institutions, has been providing UIC students with favourable admission prospects on biostatistics study programmes and expects to enrol more for its postgraduate programmes.

Whilst there, UIC’s Division of Science and Technology suggested that a more preferential recruitment offer should be presented.

Ms Caroline Wu, Director of Recruitment and Career Services at Georgetown University, noted that UIC graduates make up an important part of the body of Chinese overseas students at the US University.

In addition, UIC graduates who are studying at Georgetown University shared their experience of postgraduate life during the talk.
