To welcome the “5.22 International Biodiversity Day”, the Department of Life Sciences of the University is honored to be entrusted by the Urban Planning and Construction Bureau of Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone to co-organize the “2025 Hengqin International Biodiversity Day Forum and Nature Education Forum”, which will be held in Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as SZDZ) on May 10, 2012.

In the important stage of the continuous progress of the construction of the SZA, Hengqin has achieved milestones in wetland restoration and biodiversity conservation. Renowned experts and scholars engaged in ecological research in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, teachers and students from universities in the Greater Bay Area, and primary and secondary school students from Macao will be invited to share the results of their biodiversity research, and discuss the cutting-edge issues of nature education in Hengqin and Macao, so as to promote the cause of ecological conservation in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

The forum is rich in content:

- Lecture sharing: 6 speakers will give professional scientific lectures on biodiversity and nature education;

- Academic exchanges: 6 academic presentations (including 30 oral presentations by graduate students/undergraduates) will be made by teachers and students from universities in the Greater Bay Area, showcasing the research style of young scholars;

- The style of Hengqin and Macao: 30 wall reports from Macao primary and secondary school students and the public will be presented to build a high-quality ecological education exchange platform between Macao and Hengqin.

The “2025 Hengqin International Biodiversity Day Forum and Nature Education Forum” is now open for public registration, and we sincerely invite all students who are interested in biodiversity conservation, nature education, ecological sustainable development, wetland conservation and other topics to participate!
