Faculty members of the Department of Life Sciences Visited Institute of Science and Environment of the University of Saint Joseph in Macao SAR, China

The UIC Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) and the Institute of Science and Environment, University of Saint Joseph (ISE-USJ) in Macao SAR signed a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate academic and research cooperation between the two institutions in 2022. On March 1st, 2023, six faculty members from the Department of Life Sciences (DLS) visited ISE-USJ to discuss the potential areas for collaboration. Both sides expressed their interests in collaborating on joint research projects, publishing research papers, and sharing resources in fields such as environmental science, ecology, and biology. The visit further strengthened the relationship and cooperation of academic exchanges in the future. This time also highlighted the importance of building partnerships and exchanging ideas to advance scientific knowledge and contribute to the development of the research and teaching.

Upon arrival, the UIC members were warmly welcomed by the ISE members. The UIC members were given a comprehensive tour of the ISE's labs and research facilities. The meeting was productive, and both sides agreed to continue discussions on the potential collaboration areas.
