Yihong received offer letters from two world-renowned institutions -- the Master of Science in Software Engineering programme at Carnegie Mellon University and the Master of Science in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Yihong dreamt of being a scientist and worked hard towards the goal. These offers have acknowledged her hard work and shown that every effort she paid was not in vain.

UIC students awarded at mathematical contest in modelling

UIC students excelled in the 2020 Contemporary Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modelling (CUMCM). Li Xinyue and Xu Bokai, both majoring in Data Science, as well as Computer Science and Technology student, Xu Zimu, won the national Second Prize and the provincial First Prize. Another two teams won the provincial First Prize, while nine teams got the provincial Second Prize, 16 teams won the provincial Third Prize, and 24 teams gained the provincial Successful Participants.

Prof. Amy Zhang earns NSFC funding for her project

Four faculty members of Division of Science and Technology (DST) of UIC projects were funded by the foundation, they are Prof. Sun Weiwei from AM, Dr. Alice Hui from STAT, Dr. Donald Chen from DS and Prof. Amy Zhang from CST. Prof Amy Zhang's project is research on the Visual Diagnosis Method of Wind Turbine Blade Faults Based on 3D Dynamic Attitude Reconstruction. This project was awarded a funding amount of 590,000RMB.
