Prof Sankar K Pal - Rough-fuzzy computing and granular mining

After a long and elaborate preparation, students from the Computer Science and Technology Programme (CST) of the Division of Science and Technology presented their research projects during the first exhibition on the evening of 23 October 2013. Programme Director Dr Weifeng Su explained in his opening speech that the exhibition clearly demonstrates how to gather and analyze information, formulate a strategy, and apply it. By incorporating 'fun and hip' applications it will make the programme more attractive and students will be more motivated. CST should continue to promote this kind of 'fun' culture and continue to merge it into its programme.
