Dr SiuTai Tsim – a barber, cook, and birdwatcher

Dr Tsim is not only a skilful barber and a good cook but an excellent birdwatcher.
Dr Tsim taught himself haircutting when he was on holiday in the US and has helped some students design their haircuts at UIC. Besides hairdressing, he also enjoys cooking, which he thinks is a great way to taste life and enhance his practical abilities. What's more, he is a nature-lover who can tell the species of birds by their sounds.

Dr Tsim applies his observation and imagination to his work at UIC. Through teaching innovation, conducting research and more, he encourages students to bring more positive impact to society, country and nature.

Dr Zhi Tianhao – a musician
Dr Zhi Tianhao – Assistant professor in Financial Mathematics at the Faculty of Science and Technology
Food, writing, travelling… among all Dr Zhi Tianhao's hobbies, music tops them all.
Dr Zhi learned to play the piano when he was young, and music has become an inseparable part of his life ever since. Spending almost all his spare time in music, he has composed many piano sketches and songs and performed on professional stages such as Zhuhai Grand Theatre and Guangzhou ART23 Contemporary Art Museum.

Dr Zhi considers that economics and music are very similar. Hence, he used to coordinate music activities at UIC for students to admire the beauty of art in their leisure time, and enjoy the pleasure of studying in class.
