Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China announced the results for 2021. Six UIC teachers received funding for three general projects and three youth fund projects, four of them are from Division of Science and Technology.

The recipients for the funding for the general projects are Prof Xu Baojun from Food Science and Technology and Prof Wang Tian from Computer Science and Technology.

The recipients for the funding for the youth fund projects are Dr Zhang Wei from Financial Mathematics, and Dr Meng Xucheng from Applied Mathematics and the Research Centre of Mathematics.

In recent years, UIC has strengthened the introduction of talents, improved scientific research management, advanced scientific research project application training, and enriched teachers’ enthusiasm for project applications. As a result, there has been a noticeable success rate in applying for high-level scientific research projects.
