2022 China Collegiate Computing Competition

CST students Yang Han, Tang Linchuan and Hu Yiyang, supervised by Prof. Amy Zhang, won the Third Prize in the 2022 China Collegiate Computing Competition. Prior to that, three groups of CST students won Third Prize in the 2022 Guangdong Collegiate Computing Competition.

2021 Guangdong Collegiate Computing Competition

UIC's Science and Technology students achieved good results in 2021 Guangdong Collegiate Computing Competition. One team won the second prize, and four teams got the third prize.

2020 China Collegiate Computing Competition

CST students Qiu yifu, Yuan Yicong and Chen Zheng, supervised by Dr. Raymond Lee, won the Second Prize in the 2020 China Collegiate Computing Competition.

44th ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM-ICPC), Nanchang

CST students Deng Kaiwen, Long Yuepeng and Xu Zimu won the Silver Medal in 44th ACM-ICPC Nanchang on 10th Nov 2019.


2018 Cyberport Guangdong-Hong Kong Young Entrepreneur Programme (GD-HK YEP)

A team that consists of mostly UIC students worked on an innovated project that was titled ‘Mobile Body 3D Reconstruction for Scoliosis Patients’. This project was awarded a grant of 100,000 Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) by the 2018 GD-HK YEP.

2018 Guangdong Collegiate Computing Competition

CST students Liu Zhaozhao, Wang Cong and Wang Guoquan won the First Prize at the 2018 Guangdong Collegiate Computing Competition.

 

The 2016 Intel Cup Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest-Embedded System Design Invitational Contest (ESDC)

CST students Wu Jiaqi, Liu Kedun and Zhong Junru won Third Prize at the 8th ESDC.

 

The 2014 Intel Cup Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest-Embedded System Design Invitational Contest (ESDC)

The project “Rhythm of Fingers - Gesture Instrumental System” with CST students Deng Churan, Chen Jiahang and Lin Xuan won Third Prize at the 7th ESDC.

  

The 3rd Google Android Developer Challenge for Chinese College Students (2012)

Two teams of UIC CST students, Camera Tricks and My Clothes: Ryan & Thomas, won the second and third prize in the Southern China contest, and later, the former earned the third prize nationally.

  

The 2012 Intel Cup Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest-Embedded System Design Invitational Contest (ESDC)

The Guitar Robot team with Computer Science and Technology students Qiu Cheng, Xu Yihang and Yan Ximin developed a programmable instrument like an acoustic guitar to conduct music performances. They won second prize. The Third Eye team comprising CST students Chen Zhuo, Song Yuhao and Xu Haikun won third prize for building a system which combined voice recognition and GPS technology to help visually-impaired users to walk outdoors.

  

The 4th Guangdong Undergraduate Digital Creative Image and Graphics Contest (2012)

Motion Controlled First Perspective Adventure Game won the First Prize of the PC Games. Shadow Puppetry with Kinect Sensor won the Second Prize of the Interactive Image works.
