Abstract:
This talk will address two key research elements: creativity and presentation. With his 40-year research experience in engineering and his specific research into research process, the speaker will share his ways to build solid fundamentals, obtain maximum gains from the literature, acquire logic reasoning ability, generate novel ideas, and present research with clarity and rigor for professional recognition.
About the speaker
Prof. Wang Qingguo held Alexander-von-Humboldt Research Fellowship of Germany from 1990 to 1992. From 1992 to 2015, he was with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National University of Singapore, where he became a Full Professor in 2004. From 2015 to 2020, He was a Distinguished Professor with Institute for Intelligent Systems, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds A-rating from the National Research Foundation of South Africa. He is a member of Academy of Science of South Africa. He has published over 330 international journal papers and 7 research monographs. He received about 18000 citations with h-index of 72. He is currently the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the ISA Transactions (USA).
