UIC lecturer Ms Ji Yanyan and her team from the Division of Science and Technology (DST) won the third prize in the Guangdong final of the 2nd National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers with the course Introduction to Robotics.
The contest aims to encourage more teachers to innovate teaching methods for higher education and talent cultivation. A total of 1382 teachers and teams from 65 universities in Guangdong province participated in the contest.

Introduction to Robotics is a Major Elective Course for Computer Science and Technology programme. It teaches students to design robots through programming and practices their skills with multiple tasks.
This course team included Prof Amy Zhang, Chair Professor Wang Qingguo and Associate Professor Dr Raymond Lee.
