The 3^rd Google Android Developer Challenge for Chinese College Students released its first round result on November 1^st, 2012. Two teams from Computer Science and Technology department got a good result in this competition. One team won the second award and the other won the third award in the South China Region which including Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi and Hainan province.

The project CameraTricks submitted by Chen Zhuo, Lv Yunpeng and Ye Shu won the Second Prize. And the project My clothes: Ryan&Thomas submitted by Shao Yanghuan and CHOI Kang Min won the third prize. It was the first time that UIC students participated in this well known competition.

The project CameraTricks had been further selected to enter the National Final Competition to be held in Beijing, from 14^th to 16^th December 2012. This year, more than 1,000 teams from over 240 universities all around China took part in this competition. It was a great honor for our students to have been chosen to enter the final.
