In practical applications, statistics and operations research often intertwine and complement each other. Statistics provides the ability to analyze and interpret data, providing a basis for decision-making in operations research. Operations research, on the other hand, uses the analysis results of statistics to allocate resources reasonably and optimize decisions. Together, they form a complete system of data analysis and optimization of decision, providing strong support for the development of various fields.
I hope everyone can enjoy the wonderful world of mathematics, feel the changes that data analysis brings to the world, enjoy data, enjoy your life.
I was once a student in the Statistics programme at the Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College. After my undergraduate studies, I went to Hong Kong for further study and pursued a Master of Science degree in Operations Research and Business Statistics at Hong Kong Baptist University. I formerly worked in biostatistics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and now a Ph.D. student in Big Data of Biomedical Science at Fudan University.
This master's program has deeply cultivated my skills in data analysis, decision support, and business management. After working in biostatistics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, I realized the importance of statistics in the field of biomedicine. The course content and practical experience of this program laid a solid foundation for me, allowing me to continue exploring in the field of precision medicine big data. I look forward to seeing more students shine in this field!
