Yu Yihang
Financial Mathematics (FM) graduate
Admitted to the MSc in Financial Mathematics at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Yu Yihang, a three-year First-class Award and one-year Second-class Award winner, considers UIC a platform for students to develop and get to know themselves while accessing knowledge. He was good at integrating the learning resources from UIC and had developed his own learning methods.
When preparing for the first presentation as a first-year student, Yihang asked English Language Centre (ELC) for help. He got many practical suggestions from ELC teachers, which made him confident to stand and present during classes.

Another key to Yihang's getting excellent academic performance was suitable learning methods. Yihang followed the course instructors in class and kept the habit of reviewing after each class. When there came an examination of a course with many things to memorise, he used to summarise a checklist with knowledge points and plan for the review process. As a result, he found himself developed a lot compared with the one stepping into UIC four years ago.
