The Data Science laboratory consists of a data center and an ordinary computer room. Data center is a professional server cluster room, providing necessary hardware and software support for data science and big data technology teaching and scientific research, including server management platform, cloud computing and virtualization platform, distributed big data processing platform, course and teaching resource platform, etc. The design, development, operation and maintenance of relevant planforms are mainly achieve by teachers and students together, which greatly exercises students’ practical ability.

The Data Science Laboratory also has a large number of industry data sets and application cases to provide experimental materials for various courses. Students can remotely connect to data center through computer room computers or their own computers, and complete massive data processing projects through cloud computing and distributed data processing platform while difficult complete by ordinary computer. The lab provides high-performance serve, GPU-based artificial intelligence computing platform, autonomous driving vehicles and other experimental equipment and environment, providing excellent conditions for students to participate in the course projects and scientific research practice.
