On March 3, 2021, UIC ENVS invited three alumni to share about career development and their work experiences. The alumni are employed by the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center, the Pearl River Water Resources Commission and the Guangzhou Zike Environment respectively. The sharing was conducted via online mode and had garnered encouraging responses from the participants.

Trinity University hosts UICers

During the summer, four Environmental Science students from UIC were given the opportunity to go to Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, US as part of an exchange programme. In June, Trinity students had come to UIC to for a three week programme but now it was Trinity’s turn to host. The UIC students that went to Trinity University were divided up and placed into mixed groups with Trinity students to participate in research projects. Trinity join UIC students in biology programme

A visiting group from Trinity University arrived at UIC in Zhuhai on 8 June and began their three-week study programme on 10 June. In total, there were 23 students with 12 coming from Trinity University and 11 from UIC. This programme aspires to continue collaboration among several liberal arts colleges in the US and UIC.
